    1. Hi Caroline

I don’t, although I hope I researched each well enough to properly and respectfully represent them.

Greg and Beth, and their individual challenges, I hope, help to convey the books themes; one of those is I believe as people we all have experiences and difficulties that can help us to empathise with issues other people face, and that’s something we should all probably try to do more often. 🙂

  4. Hi, I was given Death stalks Kettle st for Christmas, it was amazing so I bought where the dead walk, then Vessel and I have just bought crows cottage. Wow, each one of those books was brilliant, I’ve a new favourite author, Death stalks Kettle St was amazing but I could easily read them all again. Can’t wait to start Crows cottage. Keep em coming.

P.S I’m also a huge Knights Templar fan and couldn’t put down Vessel, a perfect ending.

    1. I’m not sure I have the words to express how brilliant getting a comment like this is. Never underestimate how wonderful it is for any writer to find their story had the desired effect. 🙂

      Thank you so much, Robert.

*Can I be cheeky and maybe push my luck by requesting an Amazon review? They’re a huge help to independent author like me.

      All the best

  5. Mr Bowen, You offered mt a free book and I had the devil’s own job downloading it, so I eventually gave up (even though I am only 70) and bought it. I have since purchased every one of your books, read them and have never been disappointed yet. My favourite is Vessel. I like your style.

    1. Hi Jim.

Thank you so much. Really pleased you enjoyed my books.

Was the free book an advance review copy through BookFunnel? A few people had issues, next release I’m going see it I can find an easier method.

If the free book was my shorts collection Cold Sweats & Vignettes you can now get it directly from Amazon. It’s permanently free there too. 🙂

      1. Hi John, it was Cold Sweats… Not to worry, it has been truly read and digested. I particularly enjoyed the gangster’s comeuppance. Regards, Jim.

    1. Thank you so much Jennifer. There’s not much to beat finding someone enjoyed one of my books. I always hope readers will, but actually hearing it first hand is great. 🙂

Could I maybe ask a small favour and beg an amazon review? They’re a huge help, especially to an independently published author like me. If you’re ahead of me and already left one, brilliant, and thank you. 🙂

  6. Mr. Bowen, I just finished “Crows Cottage, Where the Dead Walk”. Enjoyed it very much. Wanted to let you know the poetic lyrics on page 119, “I am ethereal material…” connected with me. Enjoy your imagination and look forward to your next book. This was the 2nd book I’ve read of yours.

    1. Thank you so much, Myla. So pleased you enjoyed the book, and for taking the time to let me know. Never underestimate how wonderful and encouraging it is for an author to get this sort of feedback. 🙂

*could I maybe be cheeky and ask if you might consider leaving an amazon review if you have spare moment? They’re incredibly helpful for getting other readers to give the book a chance too.

  7. Finished Death Stalks Kettle Street this afternoon. Thoroughly enjoyed it. I liked the characters – especially the NLP guy, who reminds me of so many I’ve worked with over the years. Interesting insights into storytelling and OCDs. I must admit my heart sank a little when I started, as I’ve been working on a story in which similar fates occur to a group of unconnected people in a small Lincolnshire village. Mine’s not as good as yours, though, and involves reincarnation.

    All the best…

    1. Thanks Nick.

I’d go ahead and write that story. It sounds different enough to me, and I’m sure your voice and personally will end up making it very different too.

      All the best

      John.

  8. John, I am new to your work on Facebook and the book world – so to speak! Do you have a mailing list of your works in progress, etc? Or release information of upcoming titles? Just wondering – and as I peruse your stuff, I see lots of interesting books to investigate! I am a post apocalyptic maniac – both books and movies! George Miller rules…..ha ha!

I was so pleasantly surprised where this novel went, it was something so different and intriguing! I must check out another book! Thanks for the very entertaining story to put it mildly.

  10. Well, I would be remiss if I did not at least purchase one of your books, considering we are both writers who have the same name! Looking forward to reading Where the Dead Walk. I am a sucker for ghost stories!
